TP53 codon 72 polymorphism and breast cancer risk in Bangladeshi population

2017
Background Breast cancer, a hereditary or heterogeneous sporadic disease, is the most common cancer in women worldwide. The tumor suppressor TP53 gene has been found to be the most commonly mutated genes in many types of human cancers, including breast cancer. This study aimed to investigate the association of codon 72 polymorphism of TP53 gene with breast cancer risk in Bangladeshi females.
