Risk factors of coronary artery calcification in hemodialysis patients

2017
Objective To analysis the risk factors of coronary artery calcification in hemodialysis patients. Methods All subjects underwent coronary artery CT scan using Philip’s spiral CT and the calcification degree was evaluated by calcification scores. The hemodialysis patients were divided into light, middle, heavy coronary artery calcification and noncoronary artery calcification groups according to the CT scan results. Results There were significant differences in age, sex, duration of hemodialysis, systolic pressure, pulse pressure, blood potassium, serium inorganic phosphorus and Kt/V between light, middle, heavy coronary artery calcification groups and noncoronary artery calcification group. Conclusion The coronary artery calcification of hemodialysis patients has been closely correlated with age, sex, duration of hemodialysis, systolic pressure, pulse pressure, blood potassium, serium inorganic phosphorus and Kt/V.The coronary artery calcification has impact on the survival rates of maintenance hemodialysis patients.
