We thank Dr. Akiyama for his interest in our study (1) about temporal arteritis revealing ANCA-associated vasculitides (TA-AAV) and the importance to recognize AAV as one of differential diagnosis in certain situations. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify some points that Dr. Akiyama raised.
