Tilting Curve Design of a Novel Tilt-rotor UAV Based on Rotor/Wing Interference Model

This paper describes a method of designing and optimizing the tilting curve based on the rotor/wing interference model. Considering the interference between the rotors and wings, the slip theory is used to build the aerodynamic model in the transition mode. Then, the accuracy of the aerodynamic model is improved by the use of aerodynamic simulation data. Based on the aerodynamic model, the three-degree-of-freedom dynamics model is established. And then, the method of the velocity profile is used to design the tilting curve, and the curve is optimized by the genetic algorithm. Finally, the simulation results are present to prove the effectiveness of the tilting curve.
