The brain is the frequent site for primary and metastatic tumors. CNS metastases represent the largest number of tumors found in the brain. It is estimated that over 170,000 cases of new brain metastases occur annually in the United States (Sause, 2000). Bronchogenic carcinoma is the single most common tumor to metastasize to the brain.
