The h → μτ decay in a two Higgs doublet model with a fourth generation of fermions

Abstract We present the branching fraction for the h → μ τ decay induced by the CP-even neutral scalar boson, in the Two Higgs Doublet Model with a 4th generation of fermions. Although in this model the h → μ τ decay is induced at tree level, the contribution induced at one-level by the CP-even neutral scalar boson can be comparable. We found that the branching ratio is sensible to the mass of the lepton of the fourth family τ 4 . Particulary, we have Br ( h → μ τ ) ∼ ( 10 − 6 − 10 − 7 ) % for tan β = 1 , x = 0.01 , m H = 300 GeV and the range 100 GeV m τ 4 150 GeV .
