The Clinial characteristic and operative treatment of primary pelvic retroperitoneal tumor

Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of primary pelvic retro peritoneal tumorPPRT. Methods From January 1998 to June 200335 cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results The clinical manifestation was diversity and nonspecific symptom but there were more rectum and bladder pressure symptom.30 cases 85.7%were first discovered by B - us CT and MRI. The positive rate of anal digital examination was 54.3%19/35. The characteristic of the operation was more adjacent organs resected 40.4% more injury occurred17.0% and more massive hemorrhage happened19.1%. Conclusions surgical resection was the main treatmeat method and the massive hemorrhage was the most dangerous complication. Anal digital examination B-us CT and MRI examination were the main method and technical to discover and locate the PPRT. Early dignosis careful preoperative examination and preparation were important to prevent operative complications.
