Research progress of toughening modification of epoxy resin at home and abroad

The main ways of toughening modification of epoxy resins are introduced,and mechanism of the toughening of epoxy resins with rubber-like elastomers,thermoplastic resins,thermotropic liquid crystal polymers (TLCPs),core shell polymers (CSLPs),interpenetrating polymer network (IPN),inorganic nanoparticles and flexible curing agents in recent years are overviewed.The latest research achievement on this aspect at home and abroad are elaborated emphatically,as well as the future development and prospect of the modification of epoxy resins are presented.
