Analysis of risk factors for re-obstruction after unilateral retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty

2019
Objective To investigate the risk factors of re-obstruction after unilateral retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty. Methods According to the presence or absence of re-obstruction after surgery, 420 patients undergoing retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty were divided into two groups: re-obstruction group containing 36 patients with re-obstruction after operation, and no re-obstruction group including the remaining 384 patients. The clinical data were compared between two groups.Statisticalanalysis of data using the statistical product and service solutions 19.0 software. Results Among the 420 cases, 36 cases (8.6%) had re-obstruction after operation. Drainage volume in the re-obstruction group was (811.61±348.59) ml, and (486.27±218.83) ml in the no re-obstruction group, with the difference being statistically significant (t=-8.028, P 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that the presence of tension in the anastomosis and postoperatively increased drainage volume could increase the incidence of re-obstruction after pyeloplasty and were the independent risk factors for re-obstruction after surgery (χ2=29.687, 26.007, P<0.01). Conclusion Whether there is tension in the anastomosis and postoperative drainage volume are risk factors for postoperative re-obstruction.
