ANÁLISE DE UM PROTOCOLO FISIOTERAPÊUTICO NA FORÇA MUSCULAR RESPIRATÓRIA, CAPACIDADE DE FLUXO EXPIRATÓRIO E QUALIDADE DE VIDA DE PACIENTES RENAIS CRÔNICOS EM HEMODIÁLISE.

2016
Chronic Kidney Disease is considered one of the most health problems in the world. Hemodialysis despite the benefits in increased survival entails complications and changes affecting the quality of life of these patients. OBJECTIVE: This study investigates the effects of a physical therapy protocol in respiratory muscle strength, expiratory flow capacity and quality of life of chronic renal patients on hemodialysis. METHODS: Eight patients were selected, divided into two groups. The group 1 (G1) had five patients and group 2 (G2) three patients. It was applied the quality of life questionnaire Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form, measures of maximum respiratory pressures and peak expiratory flow. G1 that performed the physical therapy protocol and linear load supporter Threshould IMT and G2 protocol performed and the load supporter alinear Respiron® for twice a week for ten sessions. RESULTS: Results showed improvement or maintenance of respiratory variables in both groups, but when it did the analysis between groups, patients who participated in the G1 performed better both when breathing in the indices of quality of life. CONCLUSIONS: Was concluded that the physical therapy protocol contributed to improvement in respiratory muscle strength, peak expiratory flow and quality of life of chronic.
