Applications of tomography in the oil-gas industry – Part 2

Abstract Applications of tomography in the upstream oil-gas industry are widespread, covering from kilometre reservoir scale, sub-metre borehole scale to sub-mm rock-core pore scale. Continuing with the theme of Chapter 22 on the applications of seismic tomography in the oil-gas industry, this chapter mainly illustrates the use of cross-well electromagnetic tomography in hydrocarbon reservoir monitoring and the potential use of tomography for oil-gas production monitoring.
