IN A PULL-UP FROM A DIVE*

This note derives and solves a system of differential equations, modeling the behavior of an aircraft during a pull-up from a dive, to yield the altitude loss during the pull-up. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the application of the altitude loss algorithm to a modern tactical aircraft.
