A Sensitivity Analysis of Sprinkler Convection Coefficients for Pressure Segments of Spillway Tunnel Lining Concrete

Sprinkler maintenance is an important measure to control the concrete cracks.Using the finite element software,ANSYS,to have an modeling calculation on the pressure emptying tunnel of XiLuodu Hydropower Station,a sensitivity analysis of thermal stress and the influence to the temperature control has been taken to different sprinkler convection coefficient values.Calculation results show that different sprinkler convection coefficient will have a significant impact on thermal stress.The greater coefficient,the more rapid temperature dropping and the greater tensile stress of the concrete.And so the early cracking safety factor will be a bit low.However,it will do good to the later temperature control.This can provide a reference for the study of concrete crack control in practical project.
