[Professor LAI Xin-sheng's experience of acupuncture and medication for allergic rhinitis].

: Professor LAI Xin-sheng believes that allergic rhinitis is mainly caused by deficiency of lung-spleen-kidney, combined with the attack of external pathogens, especially wind pathogens, which invade nasal orifices. Thus, three principles are established: syndrome differentiation and treatment, internal and external coherence, strengthening the root to eliminate pathogenic factors. For clinical practice, professor LAI proposes the original tongyuan acupuncture which takes the conception vessel and governor vessel as the general principles, takes zangfu syndrome differentiation as core, and takes regulating yin and yang as the major method. This acupuncture method integrates spirit and yuan, bases on verified method and acupoint, combines acupuncture and medication, and achieves satisfactory results.
