ENCONTROS NOS TERRITÓRIOS: ESCOLA, TECNOLOGIAS JUVENIS E GÊNERO

2019
This article discusses the school as a juvenile environment based on the analysis of ethnographic research and extension activities with students from two public high schools in the cities of Santos and Guaruja, located on the coast of Sao Paulo. Masculinities and femininities are described and discussed, considering the complexity of relationships and juvenile practices and the centrality of technologies like the internet and smartphones. It is assumed therefore, that gender expectations are shaped through the learning process. As a result of the study, reproduction as well as resistance were identified in relation to hegemonic gender positions and to the discipline of young bodies, developing strategies that give meaning to the school as a juvenile environment.
