Process for preparing supported gold catalysts of high load and high metal dispersion by techniques incipient wetness impregnation starting from tetrachloroauric acid as precursor

2013
Process for the preparation of catalysts supported gold high load and high metal dispersion by techniques incipient wetness impregnation starting from tetrachloroauric acid as precursor. # It is based on control of speciation suffering the gold precursor by hydrolysis in aqueous solution by controlling pH in order to minimize the concentration of species rich in chlorine ([AuCl {sub, 4}] -) and make greater the species with less chlorine ([AuCl {sub, 2} ( OH) {sub, 2}] -) # This process allows to obtain gold catalysts supported with high metal dispersion (average particle size less than 1 nm and greater dispersion of 80%) by simple impregnation techniques incipient wetness, a. room temperature, with a high degree of utilization of the metal (92%) from {sub HAuCl 4} commercial, and easily scalable as regards the amount to be prepared.
