Change of anti-oxidation in tissues of chicken infected with Eimeria acervulina.

The activity of SOD,CAT and GSH-Px and the contents of MDA in heart,livers,spleen,lung and kidney were quantified to analyze the effect on tissue antioxidant activity of chicken infected with E.acervulina.The results showed the activity of SOD in each tissue was declined in the earlier,but gradually began to come back to the normal level;the content of MDA in each tissue was higher than that of the control group;the activity of CAT in heart,liver and spleen were declined,and increased in lung and kindey;the activity of GSH-Px in each tissue was declined.The observed deviations in the tested enzymes parameters evidence the occurrence of pathogenic oxidative stress following the infection and impaired ecological oxidative balance of chickens infected with E.acervulina.
