Expression and significance of DOC2 and rasp21 in colorectal carcinoma tissue

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of DOC2 and rasp21 proteins in colorectal carcinoma.Methods The expression of DOC2 and rasp21 was detected by SP immunohistochemistry in samples including 121 cases of colorectal carcinoma tissues without radiotherapy or chemotherapy and 44 cases of para-carcinoma normal mucosa tissues.The correlation of DOC2 expression to rasp21 expression,and their correlations to the clinicophathologic features of colorectal carcinoma were analyzed.Results The expression of DOC2 of colorectal carcinoma was lower than that in para-carcinoma normal mucosa tissues.The expression of rasp21 of colorectal carcinoma was higher than that in para-carcinoma normal mucosa tissues.The expression level of DOC2 was significantly correlated with lymph node and liver metastasis.The expression of rasp21 was correlated with differentiated degree,lymph node and liver metastasis.There was a negative correlation between the expression of DOC2 and rasp21 in colorectal carcinoma(r=-0.410,P0.01).Conclusion The imbalance of DOC2 and rasp21 expression may play a significant role in the occurrence and development of colorectal carcinoma.
