Breast Reconstruction with the Endoscopically Harvested Latissimus Dorsi Flap
2020
The latissimus dorsi flap (LDF) is one of the oldest variants in breast reconstruction, and it is the first myocutaneous flap used for this purpose. Described in 1906 by Tanzini, it remained forgotten for several decades until Schneider et al. and Olivari reintroduced it for breast reconstruction in the 1970s.
