Effect of small water sac of different capacity on the cervical maturity of full-term pregnancy

Objectives: To observe the curative effect of small water sac of different capacity on the cervical maturity of full-term pregnancy. Methods: 120 cervical immature women of full-term pregnancy that need to induction of labor were divided into group A,group B and group C. The three groups were provided with small water sacs of 30 ml,80ml,150 ml respectively,with sterile and 0. 9% sodium chloride solution to promote cervical maturity. The clinical efficacy of the three groups was observed and compared. Results: The efficiency and cervical mucus scores after induction of labor of group B and C was better than that of group A( P 0. 05); The maternal postpartum bleeding,neonatal asphyxia rate and body weight of the three groups were of no significant difference( P 0. 05); The condition of prolapse of cord in group A and B were significantly better than that in group C( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Small sac of different capacity has a certain effect on promoting cervical maturity in full-term pregnancy,especially those of 80 ml or 150 ml,which are most preferred.
