Chimeric antigens for vaccines against the virus of classical swine fever.

2007
The present invention describes chimeric vaccine antigens against the virus that causes disease Classical Swine Fever (CSFV). Such vaccine antigens are based on viral subunits that are coupled to protein molecules stimulatory both humoral cellular immune system. Chimeric antigens can be produced in expression systems that guarantee a correct tridimensional folding of chimeric molecules constituting the basis of the present invention. The vaccine compositions containing such chimeric antigens induce a potent and early immune response in the vaccinated pigs, giving full protection against CSFV. In addition, resulting vaccine lascomposiciones prevent viral transmission from mothers to their offspring. The chimeric antigens, as wellas the resulting vaccine compositions are applicable to laesfera animal health, as vaccines for preventive use in swine.
