Thermocatalytic transformation of heavy residual feedstock in the presence of polyoxomolybdate compounds

The work is devoted to the investigation of the activity of a new promising catalyst—molybdenum blue in the process of processing heavy residual feedstock. Molybdenum blue was obtained on the basis of coarse-dispersed molybdenite powder by its preliminary mechanoactivation in a planetary-ball mill. In the course of the work, its catalytic activity was proved and a greater yield of valuable light fractions was obtained than in the blank experiment. As methods for studying powder samples and products of thermocatalytic transformation, the following methods were used: spectroscopy of the visible region, X-ray diffraction and X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy.
