Research on Urban Flood Coupling Hydrodynamic Model

Based on the formation mechanism and physical process of urban rainstorm and waterlogging, SWMM model and surface two-dimensional hydrodynamic model are adopted to realize the coupling calculation through the flow exchange between the rain inlet, the drainage outlet and the two-dimensional grid element. The urban flood coupling hydrodynamic model is constructed to simulate the flood and waterlogging process of Xiangshui urban area under the condition of the measured rainstorm on 10 August 2012. The simulation results are basically consistent with the actual flood situation. The depth error between actual water depth and the maximum calculated water depth of the inundation points is within 0.3m. It proves that the model can support for Urban flood prediction and disaster reduction.
