Clinical study of 38 patients with non-invasive fungal rhinosinusitis treated with nasal endoscopic surgery

Objective To investigate the clinical features of non-invasive fungal rhinosinusitis and analyze the therapeutic effect of nasal endoscopic surgery on non-invasive fungal sinusitis.Methods The clinical characteristics of 38 patients with non-invasive fungal sinusitis in our department between January 2008 and July 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.The therapeutic effect of nasal endoscopic surgery was summarized.Results All of the 38 patients were cured by the one-time treatment without recurrence during the follow-up of 1-3 years.And none of them had serious complication.Conclusions Radical elimination of lesion sites under nasal endoscope is a safe and effective therapeutic method for non-invasive fungal sinusitis.The method has the advantages of small operation wound,little adverse effects and better curative effect.
