Volcanic Reservoir Mode

2019
Abstract Reservoir model refers to a geological model which summarizes the characteristics of underground reservoirs. Volcanic rocks have special reservoir models which are different from sedimentary rocks. Based on the characteristics and types of reservoirs, this chapter establishes the concept of volcanic reservoir model for the first time. It elaborates the formation and loss of primary pores and fractures, the formation and preservation of secondary pores and fractures and genesis model of different reservoir diagenesis evolution. The distribution model reflecting the spatial distribution, continuity, and connectivity of reservoirs was also established. The storage-seepage pattern of volcanic reservoirs is divided into different types whose storage-seepage capacity and stable production capacity are revealed. The concept and evaluation method of volcanic effective reservoirs are proposed. Effective reservoir evaluation criteria are established. The development methods for economic benefits are also revealed, laying a theoretical foundation for overall utilization and effective development of volcanic gas reservoirs.
