Independent innovative continuous casting technology of Nippon Steel in Japan

The six independent innovative continuous casting technologies of Nippon Steel are introduced,including tundish plasma heating,multiple-mode electromagnetic stirring,casting slab face reduction technology,composite steel slab continuous casting,new caster of ultra-thick plate and strip casting. Analysis shows that Nippon Steel leads the world in traditional casting technologies,and its next development goal is the promotion and popularization of the strip casting technology. This paper points out that the production of top steel products at low cost will be promoted by learning and using for reference the independent innovative casting technologies of Nippon Steel.
