A study on the viscosity reduction of Liaohe heavy oil by oil-soluble nickel oleate

2010
The heavy oil and the catalyst cannot be fully contacted without stirring in down-hole.The oil-soluble catalyst is prepared in order to resolve the surface problem. The oil-soluble catalyst is better than water-soluble catalyst without stirring. The results show that the viscosity reduction rate can reach 63.1% after the quathermolysis reaction using heavy oil 30% water and 0.4% oil-soluble nickel oleate as catalyst at 200 ℃,24 hr and the viscosity reduction rate can reach 81.3% with the synergistic effect between the catalyst and 0.1 toluene. The components of heavy oil are changed in which the light components increased and heavy components decreased.
