Clinical Features of 16 Patients Infected with 2019-nCoV in Shenzhen, China

Background & Aims: Since December, 2019, a pneumonia cause by a novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) were found in Wuhan, China.  There is currently a worldwide epidemic of 2019-nCoV and cause many people died. We report the  epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 16 patients infected with 2019-nCoV pneumonia in Shenzhen, China. Methods: In this retrospective, single-centre study, sixteen confirmed cases of 2019-nCoV in Shenzhen Longhua Hospital from Jan 23 to Feb 19, 2020 patients were included. All patients were analysed for epidemiological, clinical, laboratory and radiological data. Results: Six patients had a history from Wuhan City, Five patients do not had history of exposure to the Wuhan. Six patients were men, with a mean age of 32.31 years (SD 20-67). Most patients had no chronic diseases, only two hypertension patients. Eleven patients had fever and six patients had cough and two patients had shortness of breath. Other symptoms included two patients had muscle ache,  two patients had headache, four patients had Sore throat, two patients had Rhinorrhoea,  two patients had Chest pain, one patients had Diarrhoea. Some patients had More than one sign or symptom, Such as two patients had Fever, cough, and shortness of breath Comorbid conditions. two patients had hypertension patients. Eleven patients had pneumonia, five patients had pneumonia, five patients had intolerance of cold, five patients had mottling pneumonia. Except 4 patients increased levels of hs-CRP, there is no abnormal changes value of Peripheral blood cells. Conclusions: This study preliminary description clinical features of 16 patients infected with 2019-nCoV. We found some different results and asymptomatic patients.
