Study on the Polymorphism of BMPR-IB Gene in Xinjiang Cele Black Sheep

PCR-RFLP method was used to detect the polymorphism of BMPR-IB gene which controled the fecundity of Booroola Merino as a candidate gene on the fecundity of Cele Black sheep.The results showed that BMPR-IB gene had polymorphism in 100 Cele Black Sheep which were selected randomly.Three genotypes were found in Cele Black sheep,the genotypes frequencies of BB,B+ and ++ were 0.10,0.43 and 0.47,the allelic frequencies of B and + were 0.315 and 0.685,and the genotype distribution was in agreement with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium(P0.05).This showed that BMPR-IB gene is probably one of the candidate genes with affecting the fecundity of Cele Black sheep.
