LiVPO4F@C particles anchored on boron-doped graphene sheets with outstanding Li+ storage performance for high-voltage Li-ion battery

2019
Abstract LiVPO 4 F has been suggested as an excellent electrode for Li-ion battery due to its various advantages. However, the LiVPO 4 F-based materials reported so far showed poor rate property and required further improvement. Herein, we describe a simple method to synthesize the boron-doped graphene-decorated LiVPO 4 F@C (BG-LiVPO 4 F@C) composite for the first time. This designed nanostructure can provide short diffusion distance for Li + and offer enhanced electronic conductivity for the transport of electron, leading to superior Li + storage performance. The obtained electrode delivers high capacity of 125.2 mAh g −1 at 10C. Besides, it exhibits excellent cyclic stability with a high capacity retention of about 92.5% after 300 cycles at 20C. Thus, the as-synthesized BG-LiVPO 4 F@C cathode is a promising candidate for Li-ion battery.
