Ambulatorio stranieri non iscritti al sistema sanitario nazionale: attività diagnostica e terapeutica

The Foreigners Clinic for patients not registered to the national Italian health care is a clinic part of the Foundation dependent from the Emergency Department; the activity of the clinic aims at the management of foreign patients not registered to the national Italian health care and only temporarily residing in Italy. The activity of the Foreigners Clinic covers for these patients the services provided on the territory by the general doctor. Moreover, the clinic only can issue the STP code, emitted at discretion of the sanitary structure to identify the foreigners not aligned with the residency norms to which health services can be offered. Last year, a database of the patients afferent to the Foreigners Clinic has been created in order to ease the monitoring of the patients only temporarily residing on the Italian territory.
