Recovery of boric acid from liquid waste of nuclear power plant

With the progress of modern science and technology,the demand of enriched 10B is bigger and bigger in the world.Particularly,nuclear power reactors require large amounts of enriched boron-10 acid.But now the use of enriched boron-10 acid in China depends on import so that it limits the development of high-tech in China.The role of boron acid in the nuclear power plant and the important significance of recovering boric acid from nuclear waste were introduced.Combining the principles of liquid-liquid extraction,ion exchange,membrane separation and evaporation and respective advantages and disadvantages in the process of recovery of boric acid,the recycling process of boric acid was studied around the world,and several feasibility programs and their applications were elaborated.
