Leading particles, associative multiplicity, and partial inelasticity coefficients in. pi. /sup -/N and. pi. /sup -/C collisions at 40 GeV/c
1983
Experimental data are presented on the multiplicities and partial inelasticity coefficients of secondary charged particles associated with the fastest (leading) particle in ..pi../sup -/N and ..pi../sup -/C interactions at 40 GeV/c. The observed difference of the characteristics of the final state indicates a substantial role of intranuclear rescattering effects.
