The Analysis of Flash Visual Evoked Potential with Traumatic Optic Neuropathy

Objective To overview and analysis the F-VEP features of traumatic optic neuropathy(TON).Methods The amplitudes and latencies of TON patients' P2 wave were analyzed.Results Of 57 eyes,the 46 eyes(80.70%) were reduction in amplitude and/or prolongation in latency of P2 WAVE,11 eyes(19.30%) were without waveform F-VEP.There was a significant reduction in amplitude and prolongation in latency of P2 wave.There was no difference in amplitudes and latency of P2 wave between the patients with visual acuity of NLP and those with visual acuity of LP or better.Conclusion F-VEP of TON are abnormal.F-VEP are of great reference value for the prognosis,but not quantitative analysis of the results.
