Correlation phenomena in multinucleon CC interactions at 4. 2 GeV/c per nucleon
1985
The two-meter propane bubble chamber has been used for experimental study of inelastic collisions of the light relativistic nuclei d, UHe, and C with carbon nuclei. An indication has been obtained of the formation of narrow diproton resonances in multinucleon CC interactions. The dependence of the average number of protons with transverse momenta p/sub perpendicular/> or =1 GeV/c on the number of participant nucleons is investigated. The results indicate existence of short-range nucleon-nucleon binary correlations.
