Clinical healing of ununited operative wounds by two approaches

2011
[Objective] To conclude the best method of curing the dehiscent surgical wound by comparing the clinical healing with two different approaches.[Methods] Materials of 30 dehiscent surgical wounds which had been treated by two different approaches in our department were retrospectively analyzed.Approach A:wounds were delayed sutured after debridement.Approach B:wounds were treated with debridement and local dressing.Healing effects by these two approaches were compared.[Results] The healing time of dehiscent surgical wounds treated with the approach A(11.23±1.58) days was significantly shorter than that treated with approach B(22.55±3.64) days,P0.05.[Conclusion] The delayed suture after debridement promptly can promote dehiscent surgical wounds to heal.
