In comedonal Darier's disease (DD), a rare subtype of DD, comedones and subcutaneous abscesses resembling hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) are observed1,2 . It is elusive, however, how abscesses are formed, although acantholysis in the hair follicles and effectiveness of oral retinoid have been described.
