Functional nanostructured metal oxides and its hybrid electrodes – Recent advancements in electrochemical biosensing applications

2020
Abstract Hybrid nanostructured metal oxides, and their constituents, possess effective exterior properties for biomolecules and improved sensing physiognomies, recently making them significant materials. The improved sensing physiognomies are obtained through controlled alignment, improved conformation, and high biotic reactivity. The properties of nanostructured metal oxides have been broadly discovered, resulting in a trend of designing biosensors with high sensitivity and constancy. In this review, use of functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles in fabrication of electrode in context of electrochemical sensing has been discussed.
