Gasification Regularity of the Coke Over Catalyst for Inferior Heavy Oil Decarburizing

2013
The gasification of the coke deposited on the catalyst for inferior heavy oil decarburizing was investigated with O2,H2O(g) and O2-H2O(g) mixture as gasifying agents in a micro-fixed bed at temperature range of 873-1073 K.The effects of reaction temperature, gasifying agent volume fraction and reaction time on product composition and coke conversion were determined. The results showed that with O2 as the gasifying agent,CO and CO2 were the major gaseous products in coke gasification and n(CO)/n(CO2) increased with the increase of temperature. With H2O(g) as the gasifying agent the products of coke gasification comprised of H2,CO,CO2,and a bit of CH4,and the effect of reaction temperature on the product composition was not significant, but the coke conversion increased rapidly at the temperature above 1049 K.The volume fraction of CO+H2 exceeded 87% as gasification at 1025 K for 25 min,and the coke conversion increased with the increase of reaction time. With O2-H2O(g) mixture as the gasifying agent the product composition of coke gasification was similar to that with H2O(g) as gasifying agent in which the O2 volume fraction was low, however, the H2 volume fraction decreased greatly when the O2 volume fraction increased and close to zero as O2 volume fraction of higher than 10%.At the same time, the product composition was resembled to that with O2 as the gasifying agent. In addition, the coke conversion was increased with the increase of O2 volume fraction and reaction temperature.
