Botulinum Toxin for Axillary Hyperhidrosis

2020
Hyperhidrosis affects about 2.5% of the population, and axillary involvement is usually present. The use of botulinum toxin is usually indicated for severe and persistent cases that interfere with daily life and are resistant to topical treatments. It is a well-tolerated procedure, with minor side effects usually related to the injection technique. The anhidrotic effect usually lasts 7 months.
