Experimental Study on the Relationship Between Ablation of Circuit Breaker Electrical Life and Dynamic Resistance

2021
Dynamic resistance can reflect the ablation of arc contacts in circuit breaker at the moment of opening and closing operation, and thus indirectly reflect the condition of the circuit breaker and its subsequent breaking reliability, providing a new idea for the study of the reliability to the electrical life of circuit breaker. Based on the long-term tracking and data recording of a 550 kV circuit breaker, this paper studies the relationship between the equivalent breaking times and the dynamic resistance in the whole electrical life of the circuit breaker with the measurement of the dynamic resistance. The results show that the equivalent breaking times are strongly related to the split-point resistance with a monotonic increasing trend.
