IS IT POSSIBLE TO SUBSTITUTE THE BLOOD-ALCOHOL ANALYSIS BY DETERMINING THE ETHANOL IN BREATH?
1981
A brief survey about the modern possibilities of determining the proportion of alcohol in breath is given. Though there is no doubt about the accuracy of the analysis of breath-alcohol, there are important deviations between these two data, so that the correlation is limited. The relationship between the results of the experiments and the legal claim to safety of the proof provided in the Federal Republic of Germany is discussed. (TRRL)
