2019
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of combined use of antibiotics and povidone iodine to scrub uterine cavity before cesarean on preventing infection after cesarean section. Methods A total of 1 000 cases of cesarean section delivery in the People’s Hospital of Xiaoyi from June 2013 to June 2014 were selected as the study subjects, and randomly divided into the control group and the povidone iodine group, with 500 cases in each group. The control group was given antibiotics once after ligation of umbilical cord during operation. While in povidone iodine group, the uterine cavity was scrubbed with antibiotics and povidone iodine after ligation of umbilical cord during operation. We observed the clinical indicators of the two groups after operatio, its signs and manifestations was analysed and studied. Results In this study, the fever rate after cesarean section in the control group was 75.0%, postoperative wound infection rate was 25.0%. The fever rate and postoperative wound infection rate were 40.0% and 4.4% in povidone iodine group, the preventive effect in povidone iodine group was better than that in control group; the total number of white blood cells in povidone iodine group was better than that in control group. The differences in these above indexes were statistically significant (P all<0.05). Conclusions In the maternal before cesarean section, the combined use of antibiotics and povidone odine scrubbing uterine cavity is better than the simple use of antibiotics in preventing postoperative infection.
