Research on RSSI location environment parameter detection based on artificial neural network

Traditional RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) location mode can be affected by environmental factors, thus resulting in poor accuracy and stability of positioning. Using artificial neural network (ANN) to detect environmental parameters is proposed based on the study of the characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagation. Firstly, network is trained by the data of the anchor nodes under practical application environment which is known to be the precise position parameters. RSSI values which are among the nodes should be measured and the anchor nodes are input to network for positioning until the network matures. Matlab simulation experiment was adopted to verify the ideas. The experimental results show that the artificial neural network can effectively eliminate the influence of environmental parameters and improve the positioning accuracy.
