Ablation of atrioventricular conduction in corrected transposition of the great arteries

2006
ccurate knowledge of the anatomy of the cardiac conducion system in congenitally corrected transposition of the reat arteries is a prerequisite for intracardiac electrophysilogic procedures in patients with this congenital cardiac alformation. Several excellent histopathologic and intraperative descriptions are available; however, electrohysiologic mapping data are scant. We describe intracariac electroanatomic mapping of the conduction system and adiofrequency ablation of the atrioventricular (AV) conuction in a patient with corrected transposition and left undle branch block who required this procedure for treatent of atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response.
