Connector assembly for loading a vehicle

A connector assembly is provided with a support structure, which has an elongated shape, and provided an inlet for receiving a charging cable. A fitting portion is disposed in mechanical engagement with a front end of the supporting structure to connect the support structure to a vehicle charging connector. The support structure and the fitting portion are arranged such that they separate from each other when the connector assembly of a lateral load is suspended above a predetermined threshold.
