Identical Particle Interference in $D^+$ Meson Lifetime

Abstract A calculation is presented of the contribution to the D + non-leptonic decay rate of the interference between the active and spectator d antiquarks, relating this effect to the shape of the electron energy spectrum in D semi-leptonic decay. Predictions for the D + life-time and semi-leptonic branching ratio are also derived and discussed.
