Key elements of evaluating acute perineal conditions are discussed, including the anatomy, multimodality imaging, clinical presentation, and characteristic imaging features of perianal abscess; perianal fistula; vulvar abscess; Fournier gangrene; complications of urethral diverticula; periurethral cysts; and traumatic vascular, urogenital, and anal injuries.
