Use of modified Huygens-Fresnel model to compute sub-wavelength dielectric antennas

This paper presents a scalar model based on a modified Huygens-Fresnel principle to compute the electromagnetic field transformation operated by a dielectric component structured at sub-wavelength scale. The presented model is tested on a structured lens under a point source illumination in the 33 to 50 GHz band. Far field transformations and bandwidth are computed and compared to CST time solver results. The model allows for precise results and time savings by a factor of 400.
