[Fertility breast-feeding and infant mortality. Inter-ethnic differences in the same region: Saloum Senegal]

The relationship between fertility breast-feeding and infant mortality is analyzed using data from comparative surveys conducted in Sine-Saloum during the period 1963-1968.
